Award-winning Angus Strathie studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia, and has earned a highly successful professional career in costume design.

One of his earliest projects was the cult favourite and multi-award-winning feature film STRICTLY BALLROOM in 1992 for which he won a BAFTA Film Award for Best Costume Design along with long-time friend and colleague Catherine Martin. And in 2001, he worked on the acclaimed feature MOULIN ROUGE!, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design.

In 2003, Angus collaborated again with Catherine, this time on Broadway, for the production of La Bohèmewhich resulted in a Tony Award for Best Costume Designer and a 2004 Back Stage Garland Award for Outstanding Costume Design at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

Angus’ credits also include the feature films DEADPOOL, THE AGE OF ADALINE, CATWOMAN, and season one of the popular Netflix Original A Series of Unfortunate Events.
